THE WILLSON CENTER FOR HUMANITIES AND ARTS/PEABODY CONVERSATION

The George Foster Peabody Awards and the University of Georgia's Willson Center for Humanities and Arts are proud to co-sponsor this joint lecture series that brings Peabody Award winners to the UGA campus. The Center for Humanities and Arts-Peabody Conversation, features past Peabody winners who visit UGA classes, provide screenings of their award-winning work and deliver lectures free and open to the public.

The Peabody Awards, administered by UGA's Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, are considered the broadcast and cable industry's most prestigious prize, recognizing distinguished achievement and meritorious public service by stations, networks, producing organizations and individuals.

The Willson Center for Humanities and Arts promotes scholarly inquiry and creative activity in the humanities and the arts by supporting faculty research grants, lectures, symposia, publications, visiting scholars, visiting artists, collaborative instruction, and public programs, exhibitions and performances. The Center is a unit of the UGA Office of the Vice President for Research.
