American Music Research Center

The American Music Research Center is a joint venture of the University Libraries and College of Music devoted to the discovery of new information about American music and to the sharing of those discoveries with the wider community. The AMRC sponsors concerts and scholarly activities related to American music of all kinds such as its annual journal and guest speakers featured at annual symposia.

The American Music Research Center (AMRC) is a rare music repository dedicated to exploring the rich tradition of American music. The AMRC shares its resources with students, faculty, scholars, and the public through concerts, symposia and lectures, publications, and other scholarly activities. Additionally, the AMRC encourages students pursuing studies in American music.

The AMRC serves as a research archive for performers and anyone else wishing to preserve American music and enhance its cultural and transformational potential for future generations.

If you have a collection of American music materials and are interested in making a donation to the AMRC, please contact Curator Laurie Sampsel at 303-492-3929.

If you are interested in providing a tax-deductible contribution to the AMRC, contact the Friends of the Libraries at 303-492-1675 or Barbara Zarlengo at 303-492-5685.
