A SOCCER player in England was seeing red after a nearly-naked streaker interrupted his team's match, and the referee showed him a red card for putting an emphatic end to the display.

As the male streaker - dressed in a green "mankini" and wig in an imitation of the movie Borat - jogged onto the field Monday, stopping play in a lower-division match between Dorchester Town and Havant & Waterlooville, security guards made a halfhearted attempt to corral him.

It was at that point that Dorchester Town's player-manager, Ashley Vickers, took it upon himself to end the farce, slamming the streaker to the ground with an American football-style tackle.

The streaker was hauled off by guards at Havant's sparsely populated stadium, and Vickers was promptly given a red card for his tackle. The teams play in Conference South, which is ranked as the sixth tier of English soccer.
