Jack Dalrymple was sworn in as governor of North Dakota on December 7, 2010. He served on the Casselton Jobs Development Commission and helped establish Share House, Inc., a Fargo residential treatment program for recovering alcoholics and drug dependents. Dalrymple was elected to the North Dakota Legislature in 1985. He served eight terms, including six years as chairman of the House Appropriations Committee. Dalrymple was named the Outstanding Young Farmer of the United States of America in 1983. His work helping to found Dakota Growers Pasta Company, the third-largest manufacturer and marketer of dry pasta products in North America, earned him the 2007 Ernst and Young Midwest “Master Entrepreneur of the Year” Award. In 2000, Dalrymple was elected with John Hoeven as Lieutenant Governor of North Dakota in 2000. Dalrymple graduated with honors from Yale University and received a bachelor’s degree in American Studies. |
