/vent-ing/ v.t. to give free play or expression to an emotion or passion

My last teeth cleaning at the dentist cost me $300. My dog has special Dentastix he chews on to reduce tartar. Why can't they invent one for humans?

In the negotiations between a billionaire and our city council, who do you think is going to win? Has city council saved you from large cost overruns on the LRT, Churchill Square, the art gallery or the 23rd Avenue overpass? I guess you see the picture.

The arena, one of the biggest decisions Edmonton must make, should go to a taxpayer vote.

How about all the arena naysayers have their names placed on a list that will be used to bar them from enjoying the arena?

A new arena might attract newcomers to the city, but winter driving will make them move back out.

Mayor Mandel shouldn't be worried that Edmonton could become a second-class city; that'd be a step up.

We were in one of the box-type construction stores the other day and although we were able to talk with five staff regarding our need, we found the most knowledgeable people were fellow customers.

The only reason Ed Stelmach had so many problems as premier is because he wasn't from southern Alberta. The Calgary mafia did everything possible to destroy him, and their new puppet is Danielle Smith.

As long as corporations can financially support political parties, you will get a corrupt result.

Grab your partner and off we go. To the subsidized oilfields to watch our money flow. To the next provincial election we go. To blindly vote Tory, for that's all we know.

First Pecha Kucha and now yukigassen? Seems like Edmontonians really do have cabin fever.

Wish everyone would clear their walks. It is terrible being a wheelchair user. Councillors should be made to use DATS and ride a wheelchair one month every year.

I finally decided to tell a drugstore about the service I received for a chance to win $1,000 in gift cards. I gave up after what felt like the 100th question. I don't need $1,000 in gift cards that badly.

As a senior, I appreciate those merchants who provide benches to sit on while my spouse shops. Unfortunately, there are many stores that do not do so. Sales should go up if benches were provided, as my spouse could shop without rushing.

So, give Nexus $50 and you're in the express lane. Whatever happened to passports?

A big thank you to the lady who retrieved my purse from the grocery cart on March 1 at Sobeys in Rosslyn. She took it to customer service, where I found it later. You are a real blessing.

Does the billboard for K-97 on 51st Avenue just east of 103rd Street offend anyone besides me and my eightyear-old child, who, by the way, can fill in the blanks? They ought to be ashamed of themselves.

If the Morinville families demanding a non-Catholic education program were Muslim, they would be collectively told to integrate or get out of Canada.

Do you venters really think about the logic of your venting subjects? I just can't believe some of them.
