Okay...why so serious?

Because we, and probably you, have a deep relationship with crafts and almost anything to do with making with our bare two hands. Crafts, or handmaking, is not just a hobby, but something that defines our very being. It is our affair, our career, our manifestation of mind and soul. So in a way, this is very serious. But hey, handmaking is also very, very fun!

What is Serious Craft then?

The Serious Craft Blog is an exploration and education of mediums and techniques involving crafts / handmaking. The blog is about:

• Exploring new ways of creating; or, revisiting an old useful one
• Discovery of products out there that facilitate or beautify the process of creating
• Offering tutorials and how-tos that enable you to create or learn something new

What's with all the code and techie stuff?

There are many of us whose very career evolves around crafting. Of those, there are also many who do not have the technical know-how to help them reach greater audiences via online solutions or other technical procedures. Fortunately, Serious Craft does have some of that technical savviness, and it is part of our mission to educate others in it to help us all get closer to our handmaking goals.
