Hello there!
Hello everyone and welcome to the launch of ESFI World! Some of you may know me from past work around the scene, but many of you are new too. I am Nick 'JetBlk' Shaw, the Director of Content & Staff for Counter-Strike at ESFI. I'll also be contributing to other areas of the site such as Starcraft 2, but my main focus will be bringing you up to date coverage and news on CS 1.6.
I've contributed to many different coverage/news sites in the past that have belonged to different organizations with teams, but this is my first independent organization. In the past I've worked with compLexity, fnatic, SK, and NiP (just to name a few) in various positions contributing to e-sports coverage.
I got my first break into e-sports journalism back in late 2004. If you're a new guy looking to make an impact on the scene with the coverage, news, and features side, feel free to drop me a message about becoming a staff member of ESFI. I look forward to bringing new faces onto our staff!
It's a good feeling to be a part of this new start as we embark on a mission to cover e-sports internationally. We hope to be your one stop shop for the games we cover, and look to gain a larger audience as we add more titles in the future when e-sports evolves.
Check around the site... It is quite large! Feedback is always encouraged as we work to improve every area of ESFI. I'll be posting regular updates here to talk about things going on with the site as well as other happenings in my life. It is sure to be one hell of a ride!
