Lucifron leaves Fnatic for Spanish team Aprender

Spanish StarCraft 2 player Pedro 'LucifroN' Moreno Duran has left Fnatic for a budding team based in his home country of Spain, Aprender StarCraft 2. Lucifron joins two other Spaniards on the team in MikoeL and Nara. He leaves a team with undoubtedly better support and marketing power, as well as a stronger roster: Fnatic is led by top tier players Fenix and SEn, with TT1, KawaiiRice, Gretorp and IefNaij also currently signed.

Duran made a name for himself with his impressive WarCraft 3 career, where he rose astronomically quick to the top level. A Human player, he enjoyed success in major tournaments including BlizzCon 2008, ESWC Cheonan and World Cyber Games Finals in 2008, among others.

The statement given by Lucifron mentions nothing regarding his departure from Fnatic and the circumstances behind it. One can interpret the move as Lucifron wanting to try and build the competitive StarCraft 2 community in Spain, and do it by representing this team. He said, "Today I join the best national StarCraft 2 team. I'll represent the club in online tournaments and LANS, especially at the national level, which for me, is what really matters."

"I will work in everything we can to make this club even bigger and a standard for StarCraft 2 in our country," Duran continued. "Thank you for trusting me APSC2."
