DH Summer: StarCraft 2, Quake Live, BLC confirmed as first titles


During the launch party for Bloodline Champions at Inferno Online in Sweden, DreamHack organizers announced the first three games to be used for competition at the DreamHack Summer 2011 event later this year.

Expectedly, the first two games announced are e-sport mainstays Quake Live (Team Deathmatch and Duel) and StarCraft 2 1v1. The third title is Bloodline Champions (BLC), the new arena game being pushed by the company's e-sport manager James "2GD" Harding" that has been making a splash recently, especially in Europe.

The special event opened today with BLC fun cups, a developer presentation and the beginning of the SteelSeries cup. The cup will continue through Saturday evening. SK Gaming Counter-Strike player GeT_RiGhT and StarCraft 2 pros TLO and Sjow are in attendance, among others.
