BenQ.DELTA to disband after ICSC #7

HLTV.org is reporting that Polish Counter-Strike 1.6 oragnization DELTA eSPORTS will discontinue their team after the completion of the Intel Challenge SuperCup #7. DELTA have had a storied history of competition throughout the past several years and have been one of the leaders behind Frag Executors when it comes to Counter-Strike in Poland.

Reasons behind the plans to disband the team became clear after DELTA lost out on the possibility of signing two ONYX players, destru and szpero, citing that the two would remain with their current team. Additionally, with DELTA's player contracts close to expiration, two of the team's current players have already begun looking elsewhere for better options. Two have found one already: both Tomasz 'ths' Sopel and Artur 'BEn' Ostrach will be joining Fear Factory after their time with DELTA is up.

DELTA have been producing unimpressive results lately. In the IEM V European Championship qualifiers, they lost all five of their matches (MYM, Fnatic, TCM, Wizards, Kerchnet), only managing to win one map the entire way. Now competing in the Intel Challenge SuperCup #7, the team find themselves with a record under .500 (4-7) and with only 12 points, leaving them near the back of the leaderboard. Natus Vincere leads with 33 points, followed closely behind by Frag Executors.
