Video: New legislature carillon

Take a trip up through the Alberta Legislature dome to the cupola where the sound to the new carillon system is piped outside via speakers. The carillon which was just installed in the Legislature building’s Carillon Room in Edmonton, is being played by Bob de Frece and it can play up to 440 bell sounds. The old carillon was install in 1966, in 1979 Frece started to play it until it was turned off in 1996. It recently was removed to make room for the new one which can play 440 bell sounds, will be making its debut February 22nd. Video by Ed Kaiser.
