Justin Bieber Returns to 'C.S.I.,' Almost Certainly for the Last Time

Last fall, CBS's long-running crime procedural "C.S.I." attempted to boost its awareness in the 12-18 demographic by creating a guest role for fresh-faced pop star Justin Bieber, who played Jason McCann, a bomber with a beef against the cops. Sure, Bieber was playing against type — but this sort of dramatic departure was probably great preparation for Bieber's triumphant dual role in his Best Buy Super Bowl ad this month.

Bieber's storyline was left open in the season premiere, so it should have come as no surprise that "C.S.I." brought him back for last night's episode to wrap it up about as definitively as it is possible for a storyline to be wrapped up. No spoilers but, uh, this is Bieber's last scene from the episode.

Evidently, "C.S.I." is not perceived in the entertainment press to be quite the draw it once was, in that no one writing about last night's episode seemed to feel any compunction about spoiling its outcome in their headlines. If all you knew about the episode, "Targets of Obsession," was that Bieber was in it and Googled "justin bieber csi," the very first result (as of this writing) would probably end your curiosity about watching the whole thing.
