Meet Your Makers transfers team to Moscow Five

Meet Your Makers today announced the transfer of their Russian Counter-Strike 1.6 team to Moscow Five. No further details were made available regarding the transfer.

Since signing with MYM in July of last year, the team have grown to become their country's best team. Their tenure with MYM ended on a high note with an impressive showing at the IEM European Finals in Ukraine. There, they were able to finish 5th-6th only after being eliminated by Natus Vincere in the playoffs to secure a berth at the World Championships next month. The team is currently competing in the online Intel Challenge SuperCup #7, where they currently sit in fifth place.

The now ex-MYM squad finished strongly at IEM Europe to secure a world championship slot

The Russian squad will continue their participation at the IEM Season 5 World Championships beginning March 1st, only now they will no longer be representing Meet Your Makers.

Moscow Five's team manager, Maxim Zalilov, made the following statement:

Today we are ready to inform our fans that we move from world famous MYM and launch a new organisation. We want to express our great thanks to MeetYourMakers. Through all the time of our work together they have threated us like real professionals up to the world standards. We regret to part and will always remember those days we spend at this organisation. It is MeetYourMakers that helped Russian Counter-Strike to appear among the best teams of the world again. Regarding our new "home" we just want to say that it is called M5 aka Moscow Five. It is a completely new organisation. The M5 company is coming to eSports with huge plans. We hope that we will become part of another great project. Moscow Five plans to go in the most popular types of activities in eSport. Stay tuned.

Meet Your Makers' head of operations Dennis Nirtl said:

In July 2010 we decided to put all our hopes on the shoulders of five extraordinary Russian CS players. We had a nice time with the players and their crew and i am sure everyone out there was able to see the straight development from this team. Especially in the last months we managed to celebrate important victories and therefore we announce this transfer with mixed feelings. MYM want's to thank the players including hooch and Xoma for the great moments we were able to share, Maxim Zalilov and his RUSH3D cafe for the nice support, former pro gamer Groove for the good coaching, the incredible Russian CS fan scene for their support and especially Victor Titov for his amazing work in the background of this team.
