'30 Rock' Creates Liz Lemon's Ultimate Hangout

Last night's episode of "30 Rock" found Liz (Tina Fey) responding to the end of her latest relationship by embracing her spinsterhood, including showing up to work in track pants and acquiring a cat named Emily Dickinson. The real surprise here is that it's taken Liz this long to give up on being a viable romantic partner to any man anywhere. When the hottest guy you ever dated lost both his hands to hooks, you might as well just put your hair up with a Chip Clip, you know?

Anyway, Jenna (Jane Krakowski) tries to be a good friend by pushing back on Liz's aggressive sexlessness and taking her out to the sort of club that even the antisocial Liz couldn't object to. In fact, the place conforms so closely to Liz's preferences — up to and including at least one representative of the male clientele — that it's almost eerie. Or suspect.

In case you only picked out the odd syllable of the haunting, faux Joni Mitchell song playing over the scene, it's worth hearing Tina Fey singing the whole thing. You have to love a moody ballad that mentions Saskatchewan.
