Regina Leader Post

The Leader-Post, established in 1883, provides Saskatchewan's most complete information package to more than 62,000 subscribers.

From its publishing plant in Regina, the newspaper is distributed across the southern third of the province from the Manitoba to Alberta provincial boundaries.

As part of its comprehensive coverage of Saskatchewan, The Leader-Post places a particular emphasis on events in the City of Regina, provincial politics, agricultural issues and, of course, the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Victory could be real or just a fantasy

This Christmas was very different for me. We did not go back to Ontario, as we had done every year. We stayed at our home in Pilot Butte and now I know why every football fanatic loves Christmas so much. A "normal" Christmas (or Eid Milad in Lebanese) for the Abou-Mechrek clan usually involves 120 to 180 drunken Arabs dancing in my parents' living room. From this mental picture, it is easy to see why Christmas is my favourite time of year, but you can also probably see that there isn't a whole lot of football involved.
