Who runs The Football League?

What is the history of The Football League?

What is the supporters survey?

Every two years The Football League canvasses thousands of supporters from across all three divisions to get their opinion on the game in its current form. Visit the 'Supporters Survey' page to see the key findings from the 2010 edition.

How can I find out about working for The Football League?

When does the season start and finish?

The 20010/11 npower Football League season starts on Saturday 7th August 2010 with the regular season finishing on the weekend of the 7th / 8th May 2011 for the npower Championship, League 1 and League 2. All important dates for the season can be found in our 'Key Dates' section.

How are the fixtures produced?

The Football League has a Fixtures Working Party that is responsible for fixture scheduling, with planning for the season's fixtures starting a year in advance. For an in depth look at how the fixture list is produced please see our 'FL Explained' section.

How do I buy tickets for Football League matches?

Football League matches offer affordable football for all, with many clubs often having special offers, particularly to attract new young fans and families. Tickets are only available directly from clubs - please see our 'Buy A Ticket' section for links to each club's ticket homepage.

What is The Football League doing to attract young fans and families along to games?

Young fans and families are a vital part of Football League clubs' fanbases, and while Football League clubs have always been at the heart of their community, since our rebrand in 2004 we have made significant efforts to ensure this continues.

Our 'Fans of the Future' strategy was launched in Season 2005/06 and since then has seen over 750,000 children attend matches either for free or at heavily discounted prices.  In Season 2007/08 we introduced a 'Family Excellence Award' for our clubs based on a mystery shopper exercise while Season 2008/09 saw the launch of our 'Enjoy the Match' campaign, focussed on making our football stadiums family friendly.

From leading goal scorers to attendance and discipline, The Football League website carries all of the vital statistics for each of the 72 clubs since the 2002/03 season. Go to the 'Statistics' page to find out more.

How do you put on an event like the Play-Off Finals?

While up to 90,000 fans may be watching the match each day at the Play-Off Finals weekend, the can be over 5,000 people working at the event - from caterers and stewards to journalists and broadcasters.
