Trips
There were a number of great trips which ran over the weekend.
Friday 15 April
Acorn Brewery
You will be provided with a good selection of beers to sample including award winning porters and stouts. You will be taken for a brewery tour, receive beer and be treated to an Acorn gift bag.
Cider Trip
Cider maker Dick Shepley will talk about cider making in Woodthorpe Hall before you set off to East Midlands Cider Pub of the Year, Arkwright Arms. You will receive 2 pints of Cider and a buffet.
Oakwell Brewery
Oakwell is a traditional Brewery offering you the unique opportunity to sample some great beer, some of which is unobtainable anywhere else in South Yorkshire. You will be taken for a tour around the Brewery and will receive beer and buffet during your visit.
Steel City Ghost Tour
Steel City Ghost Tours will be providing you with an exclusive Friday night tour of Sheffield City Centre. The tour will start at Cathedral tram stop and will be led by Mr.P.Dreadful. You will learn a lot about local history, not all of it nice, as well as visit two historical pubs; Sheffield Tap bar and Old Queens Head pub.
Friday 15 April & Saturday 16 April
Ashover Brewery
Ashover is a microbrewery and is run by father and daughter in an outbuilding of the Old Poet's Corner Pub. You will be visiting the pub and brewery for a tour and buffet.
Staveley
On this trip you will encounter a tour around Spire Brewery and RAW Brewery. Spire will be having 10 beers on tap giving you the chance to try a variety of ales. Expect to receive lots of beer and a curry here and 2 pints at RAW Brewery.
Thornbridge Brewery Night
Your trip will include a tour around Thornbridge Hall Brewery, Thornbridge Riverside Brewery and Greystones pub. You will receive 3 pints of beer and a buffet.
Wentworth Brewery
This brewery has been set up in a former power house on the Wentworth Estate and has been operating since 1999. You will be taken on a tour of the Brewery and will receive a buffet and lots of beer.
Saturday 16 April only
Peak Ales
You will be visiting Peak Ale's converted barn based brewery and receive a brewery tour, lots of beer and buffet. The brewery is located on the Chatsworth estate.
Flood Walk Guided Tour
Local history enthusiast, beer drinker and raconteur Ron Clayton will be taking you on a pub crawl through an area hit by the Great Sheffield Flood of 1864.
2011 Open days
On the Friday afternoon, a number of local breweries within Sheffield ran regular brewery tours giving members the chance to try some beer and meet the brewer.
There were open day trips to:

- Kelham Island Brewery
- Sheffield Brewery Company
- Blue Bee Brewery
Kelham Island Brewery sponsored a vintage bus service which operated between all the pubs in the Kelham Island area and the AGM venue.
