DMP Work plan

7.      DMP notes the report of the Board of Directors concerning the responses to the Call for Participation in the selection of the DMP Content Registration Authority, in particular that the Board considers the responses received of high value and that it is currently negotiating with the proponents so that that a final proposal can be made to GA15

8.      DMP recognises the great progress that has been done since its inception in executing its mission and identifies the following areas as needing renewed efforts

1.      Completing the IDP specification. GA15 should produce a complete list of the technologies that are deemed to be of interest to support the implementation of a broad range of interoperable Value Chains

2.      Progressing Chillout by

                                                   i.      Implementing all the IDP functionalities

ii.      Making an example Chillout implementation on top of a Trusted Computing Platform

iii.      Make a C++ implementation of a SAV for the purpose of facilitating integration with existing C++ media players

3.      Showing the value of DMP specifications. DMP encourages its members to offer opportunities to exhibit results and implementations of the DMP specifications, especially if including Chillout

4.      Complete the establishment of the DMP governance. The first step is the appointment of the Content Registration Authority, to be followed by the appointment of the Device Certification and Registration Authority

5.      Promote the deployment of a broad range of DMP Devices. DMP notes with great interest the plans of Peking University to have three Devices: Content Identification Device, Content Provider Device and Licence Provider Device operational in the next month

6.      Proactively support TRUs. All DMP members should engage in a promotional activity designed to encourage universities and other organisation to use Chillout to implement TRUs and DMBMs, e.g. those in AD #9.

9.      DMP would like to thank the Chillout team and the newly recruiting participants for their sustained efforts for many months to provide the Media Streaming MAF demonstration made in San José, CA on 2007/04/28

10.  DMP would like to congratulate Martin Springer on the quality of his work done as Chillout webmaster and welcomes the availability of Carlos Serrão to join in the effort
