12. DMP thanks its members who attended the 78th MPEG meeting in Hangzhou and congratulates them for successfully initiating the approval process of the Media Streaming MAF submitted in July 2006.
13. DMP agrees to donate to ISO an implementation of the Chillout reference software for MS MAF with the usual MPEG copyright disclaimer if MPEG will so request
14. DMP asks its members to provide continuous support in both MPEG and ISO National Bodies.

16. GA12 has discussed the future role of DMP and has come to the conclusion that its mission as spelled out by the statutes has been partly achieved and that the current DMP assets (specifications and reference software) offer opportunities of exploitation by the industry that no other similar organisation can provide. GA12 sees the following as important elements for its future role
1. Completion and maintenance of technical specifications (of diminishing importance)
2. Establishment of the DMP governance infrastructure
3. Full maturity of the DMP Reference Software (Chillout)
4. Publication and maintenance of IDP Conformance
5. Development of and experimentation with TRU mapping
6. Formal standardisation of (parts of) the DMP specifications
7. Promotion of Value Chain experimenting using DMP Devices accessible via the web
8. Promotion of establishment of patent pool for IDP specifications
9. Promotion of DMP specifications to other industry standard bodies/fora
17. DMP members are reminded that by statute 5 of the current Board members will resign. All members are encouraged to propose suitable candidates for election by GA13. On that occasion the membership of the two standing committees will also be renewed.
