Tottenham's bid to take over the Olympic Stadium suffered a blow today when Jacques Rogge revealed he was against its demolition.

<b>Roque Santa Cruz</b><br/> The striker most consistently linked with Fulham has been Paraguay international Santa Cruz. Hughes has already signed the player twice, at Blackburn and Manchester City. With the 29-year-old failing to establish himself in the first team at Eastlands, he has been told by manager Roberto Mancini he can move on. He recently came close to a loan move to Lazio but rejected the offer, apparently wanting to secure a permanent deal somewhere. Santa Cruz is thought to be on big money at City, which could prove an obstacle for Fulham.
