Charlton have confirmed the appointment of Chris Powell as their new manager.

<b>Yakubu</b><br/> A more realistic option could be World Cup blooper star Yakubu. The Nigerian is well proven in the Premier League but last season he suffered badly from injury and his Everton career has stalled. West Ham reportedly made a bid of £5m earlier this summer, which prompted the Toffees to put a £10m price tag on the striker. If Carlton Cole is sold, Yakubu would be an excellent replacement.
