Sierra Leone’s Goodwill Ambasssador in the United States, Mrs. Isatu Timbo-Nwokedi, has sent a strong message of condolence to the widow of the late attorney and community leader, Mr. Mohamed Sadu Bah of Washington DC, who passed away on New Year’s Day. Mrs . Timbo-Nwokedi, in emphathizing with Madam Khadijatu Bah, said that nobody understands the pain and grief of losing a spouse until it happens to him/her. “People will tell you that they feel with you and understand your grief, but they really do not know the pain until it happens to them,” the Goodwill Ambassador intimated.
Mrs . Timbo said that because she too has had the personal experience of losing a spouse, she fully understands what Mrs. Khadijatu Bah is undergoing presently and she therefore wishes to extend her condolence to her from the perspective of a widow who knows the pain and agony herself. Mrs . Timbo-Nwokedi lost her husband, Dr. Sylvester Nwokedi, who died suddenly in California on Wednesday August 25, 2010.
Mrs.Timbo-Nwokedi said that she knows that it is tough for Mrs. Bah presently and that the only solution is prayers to God Almighty. The Goodwill Ambassador admonished Mrs.Bah to give herself to prayers because prayers do not fail. She said that God is good and is a prayer-answering God who is able to bring solace to a grieving and broken heart. She assured Mrs. Bah that God will take care of her grief and the welfare of her children and her own self.
She prayed that God will give the Late Mr. Bah eternal life and bliss. He was a good man, she declared and so God will be with him in the Life Beyond. She called on associates, friends and family to continue praying for the Bah family and philosophied that death is inevitable and when God’s time comes for anyone to die, nothing will stop it.
She took the opportunity to once again extend her thanks and apprciation to all those who sympathized with her during her own loss.
