Featured in the piece are Wilcrest Baptist Church in Houston, Texas and City of Refuge Evangelical Presbyterian Church, also in Houston, Texas. Severson also interviews Michael Emerson, co-author of Divided by Faith: Evangelical Religion and the Problem of Race in America and United by Faith: The Multiracial Congregation As an Answer to the Problem of Race.

Kaleidoscope Institute: provides workshops and trainings for the development of competent leadership in a diverse, changing world. Founded by the Rev. Eric H. F. Law as an outgrowth of his theological and practical journey through the landscape of diversity.

VISIONS, Inc.: a nonprofit training and consulting enterprise providing a variety of services that support organizations, communities, and individuals as they continue to clarify their diversity-related goals and engage in a dynamic process of multicultural development.

Rice University Center on Race, Religion, & Urban Life: The Center on Race, Religion, and Urban Life (CORRUL) is dedicated to advancing the scholarly understanding of race, religion and other urban issues to enable the development of more humane and sustainable cities. CORRUL aspires to understand urban life and improve relationships among the many racial, ethnic, and religious groups that make cities their home.

Duke Center for Reconciliation: Rooted in a Christian vision of God’s mission, the Center for Reconciliation at Duke Divinity School inspires, forms, and supports leaders, communities, and congregations to live as ambassadors of reconciliation.
