Small Successes vol. 94

It’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that.

To participate, just write up a list of 3 of your recent Small Successes and post it on your blog along with the Small Successes button (go here to get the code). You are not required to use the button, but please do link back to the main post here. Then you can add your blog here using the Mr. Linky form (please link to the individual blog post, not the home page of your blog).

If you don’t have a blog, you can share your Small Successes in the comments.

To get us started, here are my small successes for this week:

1. Finally got the kids’ Christmas picture done and it’s halfway decent. (Here’s one that didn’t make the cut.)

2. Got my out-of-control pantry organized. Again. It only took paying a 12-year-old $2. Genius me!

3. I cleaned up my Google Reader subscriptions. There was nothing wrong with the blogs I removed, except for the fact that I never seemed to have time to read them all and seeing them sit there, unread, in my reader was stressing me out. Fewer online distractions—Advent cleaning and simplifying at its best!

Now it’s your turn ... Please share all the ways you were awesome this week!

I just did the same thing with my Google Reader.  I want to read everything, but there is no way I could keep up!

I love the picture that didn’t make the cut.  Those are always hilarious to look back on. smile

Danielle, I swear our lives are connected!  Pretty much everything you have done this week has been either done or in the process of being done by me!  Good for you!

It’s terrific that you eventually ended up with a usable Christmas picture of your kids!  It’s become nearly impossible for me to gather our crew together at one time AND have them look decent besides.  So I’m cutting and pasting individual photos into our annual Christmas letter.  Thanks goodness for Microsoft Picture manager!

#1 - Maybe it’s not Christmas card worthy, BUT, candid shots are always my favorite!  Sometimes, kids personalities shine through, and I love that.

I recently cleaned up my google reader also.  I removed all the foodie blogs.  When we made more money I loved being a food snob but now that we are broke I don’t want to be reminded of how MSG and GMO’s will KILL ME.  If it is on sale and I have a coupon I will just have to risk it!

I try to go through my reader several times a year and ask myself about each: “does this *really* bless me?”  It helps, but there are so many good things out there to read!

Your children are absolutely beautiful!!!!!!!! And I LIKE that picture!!!
If you keep having weeks like the one you shared today, we’ll have to change the meme title to HUGE Successes! Thanks for hosting!
BTW, we have LOTS of kids the same ages, it appears…you and I.

That was a funny picture Danielle!  Looks like a few we took of my kids when they were young.

This is a great idea! It’s nice to see the progress we make…be it ever so small!
