Why Write a Blog?
Because we want to hear from you! Blogs may sound scary, but it's really just an easy way to share your thoughts and connect with other readers. When you tell a story, give advice, or just rant and rave, readers can rate and also comment on what you have to say. Plus, your Blog could be featured by one of our editors!
What's A Category?
Pick one of the categories that best describes what's covered in your Blog. The category you select will determine where readers will find your stuff.
Adding Content
Start with a snappy title which will be your headline. Next, start typing your Blog into the "Content" box. After writing, dress up your words with bold, italics and bulleted or numbered lists. To create a link in your text, highlight the word or phrase you'd like to link, hit the link button from the menu, and enter the link URL.
Adding Images or Video
There are buttons on the content box menu to add images and video to your Blog. Click the one you want and a box will pop up. In there you can add images from Flickr and video from YouTube just by grabbing the link to the page (and in the case of images, you can use pretty much any link with .jpg, .gif or .png at the end of it)!
Note: If you need somewhere to upload your images before adding them to your Blog head over to our free photo sharing site Flickr.com and come back when you have the link to that images page.
Adding A Description
This is not compulsory but gives readers a short description of what your Blog is about, so they can decide whether they want to read more.
What are Tags?
Tags are keywords that tell you and others what topics are covered in your Blog. When readers click on a tag, they'll get a list of Blogs that include that topic as a tag. To add tags to your Blog, type descriptive words or phrases into the "Tags" field, separated by commas. We've tried to add some relevant tags for you, based on what you wrote in your Blog content!
