Rocks Riverside Park

Once mainly farming land and home to Queensland Cement and Lime, the suburb is  these days  probably best known for Brisbane City Council’s Rocks Riverside Park in Counihan Road.

The award winning park with riverside frontage opened in 2003 and has become one of Brisbane's best loved parks for its range of features and innovative design including ampitheatre, playgrounds, artwork, bushland and both walking and cycling tracks.

Seventeen Mile Rocks is also handy to the very popular DFO (Direct Factory Outlet) store at Jindalee and the shopping centre at Mt Ommaney.

Donella from Brisbane southside says:

It is an old suburb but it is being modernised daily with families in mind. It has a huge interactive park with free water features. It has new housing estates and shops - it's where I want to move my family to grow and enjoy the Brisbane lifestyle.
