If you're a parent you'll no doubt be attending your little cherub's school Christmas carols concert this week or next.

If it gets you in the mood to do some festive singing yourself, then here's the pick of the carols in Brisbane between now and the big day.

Sat 27 Nov

Carols @ Multicap - Head to Eight Mile Plains to sing along with the Brisbane Regional Youth Orchestra, The Salvation Army Band and others.

Sun 28 Nov

Carols by Candlelight - Join David Kidd from the Ten Tenors, Chrislyn Hamilton, Ranger Stacey from Network Ten and the Moreton Bay Boys' College Choir.

Carols in the Carpark - Get in the seasonal mood with some carol singing, performances and a free Christmas meal organised by Kangaroo Point Uniting Church.

Carols by Candlelight - Sing carols at Hilder Road State School in The Gap, then watch a free screening of Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang.

Sat 4 Dec

Lord Mayor's Christmas Carols in the City - The highlight of the caroling calendar. Stars for the night include Stan Walker, Paulini, James Morrison, Emma Pask, Colin Buchanan, The Idea of North and Troy Cassar-Daley.

Salisbury Carols in the Park - Don't miss the nativity story at 6pm.

Christmas Carols & Movies in the Park - Enjoy Christmas Carols with the BrisWest Music Ensemble and watch the movie Polar Express.

Sun 12 Dec

Community Christmas Carols - Celebrate Christmas in the community and with the community.

Bribie Island Orchestra Christmas Concert - The annual Christmas concert of the Bribie Island Orchestra and the Bribie Gleemen, with lots of community singing.

Sat 18 Dec

Broadbeach Christmas Carols - Live entertainment, singalongs and fireworks in a beautiful beach setting.

Carols by Candlelight - Rocus Jazz band, Westside Orchestra, carols and fireworks in Dorrington Park, Ashgrove.

Sun 19 Dec

Carols on the Steps - Sing some of the most well-known Christmas carols at the City Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Carols on the Cliffs 'Sing Noël' - With Canticum Chamber Choir conducted by Emily Cox and organ music by Christopher Wrench.

Carols in the Park: Christmas Unwrapped - Christmas carols and nativity play in St Lucia.

Acacia Ridge Community Christmas Carols - Santa joins the carols and festive fun.
