Persistent heavy rain caused today’s HRV Twenty20 Cup clash between the Auckland Aces and Otago Volts to be abandoned at Colin Maiden Park in Auckland.
Just 2.1 overs were able to be bowled before both teams were forced to leave the pitch as the rain started to fall after the home side had reached 15-0.
The result gives the Volts their first point in this years tournament while the Aces move to the top of the HRV Twenty20 Cup group table.
