Track Editor Environment Setup Download

This tool will setup environment to use with FlatOut Track Editor.

It will copy all needed files for Track Editor (tracks data file, some FlatOut2 scripts, and texture files). It also convert texture files from DDS format to TGA.

An unpacked version of the game is needed for this tool to work, for this you must use BFS2unpacker. Once the environment setup is completed, the unpacked game is not needed anymore.

Note : This step is very disk space hungry (unpacked version of game : 3.96GB / TE environment : 3.42GB)

 

Installation:

Extract FO_TrackEdEnv_Setup.exe anywhere on your hard-disk and launch it. Choose what to convert, then pick Unpacked game directory and Environment directory (Please, choose a different one, or the result will be a terrible mess...)

Note: This may take some time, as there is a lot of data to convert...
