I was forwarded the article “Stop your child becoming a screen addict?” and was utterly bemused by what I read. The author, Dr Alex Yellowlees is not just a doctor; he’s the Medical Director of Priory Hospital in Glasgow. He’s also got a lot of letters after his name. By any measure surely an intelligent man?
Having watched with interest the attempts to get AB 1179 passed into law, a thought occurred to me. My opinion on this seems to be entirely at odds with that of the rest of the internet. At least the American based contingent anyway.
So I've been playing Beautiful Katamari, and I absolutely love it. I am though, rubbish at it. For some reason though, despite it being an absoute struggle to be declared even 'average' by the King of All Cosmos, I keep going. There's just something about the game that keeps me hooked, despite my obvious lack of skill for it.

Rock Band 3 - Officially the greatest music game ever.
I think the last story I'd have predicted to have been reading today.
There was a big pre-order blitz on it, and there are a fair few people put money down for the signature edition - which costs a whopping £150. Customers who pre-ordered are going to start getting texts and phone calls soon, and there is already window posters for it. I'd be shocked if there aren't ads on the radio in store as well.
As far as ads go, Sony sponsor the Champions League, so will have pre-booked ad space there, which they can change over to Gran Turismo. In a neat co-incidence, the next round of games is the 23rd/24th of November. I would imagine that they would have had an idea of the likely release date and booked more space, which again could be given over to other things if the date slipped
I'll put it this way, Gran Turismo is one of the few titles that Game are enforcing a midnight release for. This puts in in the same company as Halo and Call of Duty.
That was the three [10]'s in 3 months wasn't it?
