SEGA will bring Marvel’s comic book franchise Thor to video game systems for an epic third-person adventure to release in tandem with the Paramount Pictures movie. Thor: The Video Game, scheduled for release on all five major video game platforms in 2011, will be shown at Comic Con 2010 in early form through concept art and images at the Marvel booth. Paramount Pictures will have the cast of Thor on hand to unveil new footage of the summer 2011 movie on Saturday at The Con.

What’s old is new again at E3 2010. Sega is bringing back the Dreamcast after 11 years. This fall, Dreamcast games are going to be digitally distributed on PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Arcade. The first Dreamcast games available will be Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi, with additional games to follow. Both Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi will be on display at SEGA’s booth at E3 2010 in Los Angeles.

The story unfolds from there as you use various tactics from stealth combat to weapons like assault rifles to embark on a branching story line filled with twists and turns. When gamers play Sega’s upcoming Iron Man 2: The Videogame, they won’t be hearing Robert Downey Jr. reprising his role as Tony Stark in the new game. Jackson will be heard in the new game, which is not based on the new movie and introduces and original story to gamers.

Vancouver 2010 means big business for videogame companies. Sega has already sold over 6 million copies of its Wii and Nintendo DS Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games since those titles launched in October. The original Mario & Sonic at the Summer Games has sold over 10 million copies globally life to date. Sega’s Vancouver 2010 game has added another 800,000 copies sold.

VANCOUVER, Canada - With the attention of the world focused on Vancouver, British Columbia for the Winter Olympic Games, the athletes remembered fallen luger Nodar Kumaritashvili, who died during a training tragedy before the Opening Ceremony. Among the attendees at the wintry Opening Ceremony, which featured Wayne Gretzky and Steve Nash as torch bearers, was Kristina Groves.
