Activision is jumping into the 3D gaming space in a big way by offering one of the big games of 2010 in stereo 3D. In what could become the definitive 3D game experience, Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops will also be playable in stereoscopic 3D when the game launches at retail outlets worldwide on November 9. Activision Publishing revealed that the game will be compatible with 3D-ready HDTVs and 3D PCs utilizing state-of-the-art active shutter 3D glasses, delivering true depth of field and an unprecedented level of immersion that is perfectly suited for the Call of Duty action experience. Call of Duty: Black Ops will be playable in 3D on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Blizzard Entertainment will unleash one of the biggest PC games of 2010 just in time for Christmas. World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, the highly anticipated third expansion for the world's most popular subscription-based massively multiplayer online role-playing game, will be available on DVD-ROM for Windows XP/Windows Vista/Windows 7 and Macintosh at a suggested retail price of $40 and will also be offered as a digital download from the Blizzard Store. A special Collector’s Edition packed with bonus items will be available exclusively in retail stores for a suggested retail price of $80. One of the big games of 2010 will celebrate Halloween long after October. Taking the wraps off one of the most anticipated features and worst kept secrets, game developer Treyarch revealed that the community-favorite “Zombies” is coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops which hits stores worldwide on November 9 from Activision. Zombies were originally introduced in Call of Duty: World at War and became an instant hit. Call of Duty: Black Ops fans can combat the zombie apocalypse in up to four-player co-op gameplay. Just in time for the storied Daytona 500 in February 2011, Activision and independent game developer Eutechnyx are bringing NASCAR The Game 2011 to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii. After EA Sports drove away from its exclusive NASCAR game license a few years ago, gamers have had no new NASCAR options. Activision Publishing, Inc. and Marvel Entertainment confirmed that Neil Patrick Harris will reprise his role as Spider-Man in Activision’s upcoming Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, which is currently being showcased at San Diego Comic-Con.  In the game, players traverse through four unique worlds from Spider-Man lore and take on the role of four distinctly different Spider-Men – Amazing, Ultimate, Noir and 2099 – which will be brought to life by Neil Patrick Harris along with Josh Keaton, Christopher Daniel Barnes and Dan Gilvezan, respectively.
