Jagex And Codemasters Hold Liverpool Recruitment Events

UK developers target Bizarre Creations employees following rumours of an uncertain future for the studio.

Online game company Jagex, and producer and developer Codemasters, have announced that they will each be hosting a recruitment event in Liverpool next week.

The news follows rumours of the possible closure of Liverpool-based studio Bizarre Creations. No official statement has yet been issued by the studio or parent company Activision.

Jagex will host an event on Tuesday. Talent acquisition specialist for the company Peter Lovell told Develop: “We have a large number of positions across multiple MMO projects, and we wanted to take this opportunity to let the folks at Bizarre know they have options ahead of them during these potentially difficult times”.

Codemasters recently announced a recruitment drive to hire 100 employees across its three UK studios, and the company will host its Liverpool event next Wednesday.
