Italian Videogame Conference Line-up Revealed

Phil Harrison and Peter Molyneux join an international cast of speakers in Rome next month.

The programme for this year’s Italian Videogame Developers Conference, held at the LUISS University in Rome on December 3-4, has been confirmed.

Highlights of this year’s roster include Phil Harrison, former president of Sony Worldwide Studios, Avni Yerli, managing director of Crytek and Peter Molyneux, founder of Lionhead Studios.

Marco Accordi Rickards, director and chairman of the IVDC said, “Over the past 3 years, the IVDC has grown from a national event, to an international conference on the world stage. We are delighted to have so many leading Italian companies sharing their ideas, and to have so many international speakers for this year’s event shows just how important the Italian videogames industry is becoming.”

Italian developers at the conference include Andrea Pessino, co-founder of God Of War: Ghost Of Sparta developer Ready At Dawn Studios and Riccardo Cangini, CEO of Italy-based independent studio Artematica.

Earlier this month it was announced that the conference would also host the unveiling of ViGaMus, a videogame museum which will be situated near the Piazza Mazzini, in central Rome, when it’s completed next year.
