John Hogan

John Hogan grew up in a household where comic books were strictly forbidden...until he managed to change the rules at the age of eight, when he somehow convinced his mother to buy him a copy of Superboy and the Legion of Superheroes #250. Ever since, he's been hooked, and he credits his love of obscure trivia (such as how stationary satellites are in orbit 22,300 miles above the earth, where the Justice League satellite was) to reading comics.

John's love of comics has expanded throughout the years. He enjoys a broad range of graphic novels (not just superheroes anymore!) and is incredibly pleased to be editing a website devoted to them. Before this, John was the editor of Pages magazine, as well as a freelance writer and editor. He has a degree in English literature and journalism from the University of Northern Iowa (Go, Panthers!). He thanks you for taking the time to read his bio.
