The misadventures of budding student filmmaker Junpei, the guy with four girls on the hook who just can’t reel any of them in, continues.

Once again, Junpei’s girls are: his old flame, the tomboy, the feisty redhead, and the shy, sweet one.

Junpei gets rather close to the tomboy... but then it seems as if perhaps she’s not quite interested after all.

Then, a rival enters the picture... oh brother, I said to myself, I had enough of the tennis coach type of role back in Rumiko Takahashi’s Maison Ikkoku... but I have to admit he’s sort of useful to the plot, if sometimes dorky (he fancies himself the noble and gallant protector of all femalekind, but he has his clumsy/hapless side)... he’s hot for the feisty redhead, who of course is hot for Junpei. But this week Junpei’s working hard on developing his relationship with the shy and sweet girl, so no one’s happy.

For example, the redhead, in a moment of despair, throws away the Valentine’s Day chocolates she made for Junpei— but then he thinks that the unexpected chocolates that his old flame leaves at his door are from the redhead. And the tomboy is surprised to find herself jealous of all this! Complicated!

On top of all that, to please the redhead, our new rival agrees to stand guard while she attempts to seduce Junpei away from the sweet girl... Great, just what Junpei-Archie needed—for Reggie to team up with Veronica... fortunately, the rival just can’t stand the idea, and foils the plan before it can, uh, bear fruit.

Finally, Junpei finally gets a chance to be alone with the shy and sweet girl you suspect he’ll eventually end up with... will he be able to pull it together and tell her how he really feels?

The hardest working schlub romance with an artful balance of arguably-tasteful fan service (bras and very realistically-drawn panties but the important bits always covered) in the business continues in Strawberry 100%, to which I am giving an A-.
