On this week’s episode of Catholic Moments (click here to listen or click on the player above), my very special guests are our very own friends and favorite moms Danielle Bean and Elizabeth Foss, authors of the fantastic book Small Steps for Catholic Moms

You know I always love the chance to chat with these two, but even more so when the topic is their wonderful book!  I thought today that those of us who have had the blessing of reading Danielle and Elizabeth’s book could fill the comments section here with our thoughts and feelings about the book.  Please take a moment to share a line or two about how this book has helped you, what you enjoyed about it, or one of your favorite prayers or activities from the book.  If you haven’t had the chance to read the book yet, you can tell us why you’d like to read the book.  Let’s give these girls some love!

It’s my pleasure to share what I love about this book. First of all, I live that it’s available on the Kindle! Second, I read it every morning before I get out of bed. The quotes, prayers, and actions are directly relevant to my life as a homeschooling mother of young children. The suggestions are do-able, yet require a little extra effort on my part in a that helps me works towards sanctification. It’s just a wonderful book and I’m so glad I bought it!

I second Analisa’s comments on the book - it has become a regular (and much beloved) part of my morning prayer time.  I love the very practical “act” recommendations each day and how they jump start me to actually “act” on the good intentions I have to help others.

I have really enjoyed this book, especially the journal!  The September chapter on Diligence has really given me something to ponder this month.  My bible study group is going to be going through it this year together and discussing the journal questions.  Any one out there doing this as a group and have any suggestions???
Thanks!

I absolutely love my Small Steps book!  It has a designated spot on my kitchen counter and it’s what I read when I’m making breakfast for my kids.  Our Bible study has decided to use the book and journal for the next year since it’s easy for everyone to adopt into their everyday lives and the journal allows us to dig a little deeper at our meetings.  We were all saying how we’d love to have something similiar for couples so that we have a daily prayer devotional.  Hint, hint.  ; )  Great job, Danielle and Elizabeth!

My Bible study is doing this, yes I am in the same one as Michele F and Veronica Cogwin and I too am loving it. I love how practical and applicable it is for me as a mom. The daily actions are so doable and give me something concrete to focus on thanks for a great book!
