Get Smart, Martha

Whether You're "Martha" or "Mary", you'll love this book!

I am very happy to help spread the word about a great new book from Tami Kiser entitled Smart Martha’s Catholic Guide for Busy Moms.  You may already know Tami from her work on the Smart Martha website - perhaps you’ve even been lucky enough to hear her speak at one of her seminars.  Tami’s known for giving practical time management and organization advice, but from a spiritual perspective.

That’s why I was so excited to receive my review copy of Smart Martha’s Catholic Guide for Busy Moms. I’ve followed Tami’s work for years, and even had the good fortune of getting a “sneak peek” at her book before it was published.  And this book was worth the wait - it’s chock full of great, realistic and inspirational advice that you can really implement around your home.

From organizing toy messes to dealing with media messes, from the dinner hour to the extracurricular runaround, Tami has broken down some of the classic “mom issues” that plague us all and provided simple solutions and suggestions.  This is not one of those books that will make you feel guilty for how short you fall of what’s expected.

What makes this book different from all of the other home organization books you’ll find lining the shelves these days?  Tami herself tells us in the book’s introduction:

“We need the perfect balance of Martha and Mary.  The Smart Martha way is for women who want to get their work done, yet know that the first priority is to look for and always be attentive to Christ, who is present.”

I invite you to check out Smart Martha’s Catholic Guide for Busy Moms and hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I have.

This looks like a great book and something I must read.  Thanks Lisa!

I think you’ll enjoy it!  Lots of great tips!

I attended one of Tami’s “Smart Martha” seminars a couple years ago.  It was really helpful.  I have my booklet from that seminar in a handy place so that I can refer to it when needed.  At the time of the seminar I had little kids and now that my kids are older and I’m homeschooling, I wish I had paid more attention - or taken better notes - when Tami talked about some of her homeschooling ideas.  This book will go on my wish list, for sure!

Sounds like an awesome book!  I just added it to my Amazon.com wishlist.

I just finished my copy of this book and bought another copy for the young moms’ group in my parish. I also plan to recommend it to young couples who come to our baptism preparation classes. I certainly wish resources like this book and Lisa’s book were available when my children were tiny! No matter - I’m grateful that they are available now and plan to share them with parish families and my own young adult son and daughters. Thanks, Tami and Lisa - God bless you for sharing your wisdom!

Please tell me that F&Flive; is going to give away a copy or two so I can dream of winning one!

I just started reading this book and it’s really excellent!  Great advice for moms at any stage.

Tami is awesome!! I can’t wait to read her book!!  It’s at the top of my birthday and Christmas list!
