Information Systems

The City of Klamath Falls Information Systems department is responsible for desktop computing systems, associated networking equipment and a centralized Executive Information System running multiple applications. Most recently, the city has migrated to a hosted VoIP telecommunication system. Information Systems Department has grown to three employees in 2009; the Information Systems Manager, Systems Administrator and an Information Systems Technician. These employees provide support for all internal departments within the city. Maintenance contracts and outsourcing of some repairs are utilized when appropriate. With the acquisition of the Information Systems Technician we are working on keeping the Police Department functional with the latest technology to help them stay connected and operational in the event of an emergency.
