2010 SCARECROW ROW & FALL FESTIVAL EVENT


Location: The Scarecrow Row and Fall Festival event is located on historic Main Street and Central Square in Downtown Klamath Falls. Spaces are located in front of businesses on both sides of Main Street, and Central Square (the parking lot next to BRD Printing).
 

Date and Time: Saturday, October 23rd from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is held rain or shine.
 

Set-Up, Parking and Hours: Scarecrow Row and Fall Festival is open to the public from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. All vendors and exhibitors must be set up and have vehicles cleared by 10:30 a.m. Set up begins at 9:30 a.m.

Eligibility: The Scarecrow event is open to arts and crafts, artists and musicians, concessionaries, exhibitors, and organizations. All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner. Any unruly conduct or use of foul language will be considered grounds for expulsion. Participants are limited to only their assigned space for sales, advertising, performance, and/or handout materials.

Participation fees are non-refundable.


Spaces: KFDA will assign participant spaces on a best efforts basis. Space assignments are subject to change. Confirmations will be mailed or mailed approximately one week in advance of the event.


Services: Services such as water, electricity, and canopies will not be provided by KFDA. It will be the participants’ responsibility to obtain or provide any services they may need.


Food Vendors: All Food Vendors must comply with Klamath County Public Health Department and Klamath County Fire District #1 regulations. Inspectors from these agencies may conduct inspections of the vending sites. The vendor is solely responsible for any and all regulations pertaining to their activity. If they are closed down, vendor fees will not be refunded.
 

Clean Up: All participants must dispose of trash in bins and receptacles and sweep up their area. No liquid of any kind shall be disposed of in street gutters, storm drains or catch basins. Participants will be held responsible for any damages to city or business property.


Advertisement: The Scarecrow Row & Fall Festival event is advertised in the Herald and News through press releases and through Public Service Announcements on local radio and television.

Woodstove Changeout Rebate Program

Change out your old stove: Save money, protect your health and air quality. There are two types of rebates available:

  • Partial Rebate Program: The partial rebate program offers a $500 rebate to homeowners who want to change out their uncertified woodstove for a premium-efficiency certified woodstove, a $750 rebate for a pellet stove, and a $1,000 rebate for an electric, gas propane or geothermal heating device. In addition, most of the heating devices that meet the minimum requirements also are eligible for a tax credit through the State (up to $300) and Federal (up to $1,500) tax programs.
  • Full Rebate Program:  The full rebate program offers a complete rebate to low-income homeowners who want to change out their uncertified woodstove for a premium efficiency certified woodstove, pellet stove or for an electric, gas propane or geothermal heating device. The cost of the applicance and installation will be fully paid. To determine if you might be eligible for this program, contact:
