Snowflake Festival

The holidays in the City of Klamath Falls are filled many wonderful events with the annual Snowflake Festival to be the best one yet. As the Snowflake Festival Committee moves forward in their Festival planning, watch the website for continually updated Festival information and schedules.

Handel's Messiah Performance

WHEN:  December 12th at 7:00 p.m.

WHERE: Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church - 4431 South Sixth Street

The community SATB chorus and chamber orchestra will be performing under the direction of James Hurst. The performance will include the traditional first part of the Messiah, together with The Trumpet Shall Sound, followed by the familiar Halleluhah Chrous. The production will include the orchestral overture and Pastoral Symphony together with recitatives, solos and choruses based on the Advent, the season leading up to the birth of Christ. The Hallelujah Chorus is noted as one of the most stirring pieces of music ever written. Amid shouts of "Hallelujah!" the chorus celebrates God's omnipotence, the arrival of His kingdom on earth, and His everlasting reign.

The performance of the Messiah brings to life the true spirit of Christmas. It has been performed in houses across the world to remind people of the original reason for the holiday.

There is no cost to attend the performance; however, an offering will be collected at that time to both cover the costs associated with the performance and help our community's local charities.
