GREEN PELICAN AWARDS

Invitation for Nominations

Mayor Todd Kellstrom announced the City of Klamath Falls is requesting nominations for the City's second annual " Green Pelican Awards" in recognition of local residents, businesses and community organizations making efforts to "Go Green", working towards urban sustainability or promoting natural resource conservation. The time is right to reward local innovative ideas and projects that help the environment and improve overall energy efficiency.

Six Green Pelicans will be awarded: two for residential, two for businesses and two for community organizations. The deadline for nominations is September 10, 2010 and there is no entry fee but projects or programs must be located within the City limits.

Nominations may be submitted by anyone and can be submitted via e-mail to NOMINATION or by regular mail to:
