Getting started is a 3-step process:

Step 1: Downloading mail@metro software to your MetroPCS phone.

Access to email from your MetroPCS phone varies from the type of phone you have. For all phones except the Samsung Code and Blackberry Curve 8330, do the following:

  1. On your phone, go to "@metro" and select "Metro Featured Apps"
  2. Depending on the model phone you have, your mail@metro icon will look one of two ways:
    OR
  3. Select your icon and download mail@metro.

Note: For the Samsung Code and Blackberry Curve, you may skip this step as these phones already have email software installed.

Step 2: Get a myMetroMail email address.

  1. From your MetroPCS phone, text GETMAIL to 5555 (GETMAIL is one word with no spaces)
  2. Wait for the response to be texted back to your phone.
  3. To accept the proposed username, text back YES. To ask for a different user name, text TRY and the preferred username (ex: TRY JSmith1 )
  4. After you accept your username, you will receive a link to access a web page. Click on the link, then enter your logon, password, and user profile information.

Step 3: Add your myMetroMail email address in your MetroPCS phone.

  1. On your MetroPCS phone, go to "mail@metro".
  2. Select "myMetroMail"
  3. Enter your new email address and the password you just created when you activated the service. For detailed instructions click on the mail@metro icon below that looks like the one appearing on your phone:

Computer access to your myMetroMail Account:
Your myMetroMail account also can be accessed from any computer by visiting www.metropcs.com and clicking the “Check Email” icon in the lower right corner of the homepage. Or, enter www.mymetromail.com to be taken to the email login page (Windows Live)

How do I change my myMetroMail password?
To change your password, from your MetroPCS phone text the word PASSWORD to 5555 and follow the instructions.
