Martin
Mere in Lancashire is one of Britain's most important wetland habitats and is
run by the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, the largest international wetland conservation
charity in the UK.
Teifi Marsh is a Welsh wetland reserve with a great diversity
of wildlife from Water Buffalo to warblers and woodland birds.
"Wildlife
needs water, and where there's water there's life. Trouble is - over the last
few centuries we've lost a number of wetlands in the UK.
"The
places we do have are important and worth looking after. But don't take my word
for it - go and see for yourself. The real world is much better than the telly
world "
