From Our Own Correspondent: David Loyn

David Loyn is the BBC's International Development correspondent.

He joined the BBC in 1987.

David's first foreign news story was covering the Pope John Paul II's return visit to Poland after he was appointed Pope in 1978.

His hobbies include going to the theatre and listening to classical music.
