PSP Needs a Brand New Bag
The iPhone has quickly become the new hotness in portable gaming consoles -- almost by accident. Apple's multimedia phone has a ways to go before it takes on the Nintendo DS, but the Sony PSP, crippled by lagging sales, should watch its back. Even though rumors of the PSP2 have been categorically denied by Sony bigwigs, we compiled a list of features a new PSP needs to have to stay in the game.

that psp is hottt but it looks like a bigger and better version of the t-mobile sidekick.wont be cheap 2 buy if you know it could do more than the sidekick or the iphone.i'd still get it so doesnt really matter, its crazy!!!!!!!!!!!
I THINK THAT PSP IN THE PICTURE IS AMAZING.....MAKE IT SONY AND QUICKLY....PUT A CAMM IN IT....
umd media size has been the achiles heal of psp. If Sony switches to something insane like quad layer umd format or mini blueray. They could easily ported games from ps2 to psp. Trade in you old psp for new one will also be nice
i lik myn wit the playstation Store
a ps3/sidekick/ipodtouch lol
Using a memory stick pro duo makes the PSP much more versatile in regards to storage: you can always upgrade memory, and it keeps the price of the PSP low (maybe an internal drive as an option instead). No need for pointless apps that just get boring. Most motion-sensor games for the iTouch or iPhone are boring - PSP console games are more engaging. And importing and removing games without any bundled software is a BIG plus.
here we go *rant begin* to start off; it's not the PSPs' fault it had bad games, it's sony and the software developers. in order of the posts about the PSP coordinating with the pictures; 1) PSP should NOT be competing with the iPhone, DUH! 2) I like UMDs and having external memory, so that should stay, but I think there should be a hard drive as well. 3) Access to old games, well that would be nice, but they are probably just going to release them sooner or later on UMD. 4) ..... I never hear anyone complain about not having a second analong stick, and most games don't hardly use the one that is on there. And why is it supposed to be competeing with the iPhone? 5) Motion Sensing: It would be nice, but in the words of GLaDOS: HA HA FAT CHANCE! 6) PSP as a PS3 controller, yeah they should have made that simple firmware upgrade when the PS3 got released. 7) why does it need a microphone, there are no good multi-player games and why does it "need" a camera? the thing isn't a phone or a portable web-cam. 8) meah *shruggs* 9) why does it "need" a keyboard, if you can't type with what SONY gave you then you don't know how to text do you? 10) WHY IS IT COMPETING WITH APPLE?!?! >_
I'm actually rather fond of the UMD. It's small and resilient. As for the PSP itself, I was against getting one for quite awhile, but now that I have one, its a decent system. Battery life and lack of games are my only complaints.
@masterofthesim11: the keyboard issue can be solved with a touch screen keyboard or a laser keyboard, even a slim sensitive one that can be pulled from the side... @fireshadow298: not everybody want to rip on GD, since several people tries does not mean that everybody are retard fanboys abusing h0ax language...
