Jack and Erica Return to AMC!
After a summer hiatus for portrayers Susan Lucci and Walt Willey, Jack and Erica return from their pre-wedding honeymoon on October 6. "For Erica and Jack, it's really been great to get away from everything," previews Co-Head Writer David Kreizman. "When they get back, suddenly they're both being pulled into this into these big things " — Greenlee's legal troubles for him, the battle over Cortlandt and Chandler for her — "and for Erica especially, she has to kind of decide what her priority is."

Alison Sweeney (Sami, DAYS)
— NBC

Just Cause
Catch Alison Sweeney (Sami, DAYS) on tonight's (Sept. 10) multi-network fundraiser, STAND UP FOR CANCER. "It's going to be an amazing evening," says the actress. "Everyone has a personal story of someone that they've lost to cancer. Both my grandmothers had cancer and it's just too commonplace. Raising money is that first step that can help fund research." The actress reveals that she will be on air as part of a reality show segment. "It's a fan challenge. THE BIGGEST LOSER against EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE and SURVIVOR. We're asking our fans to log on to www.su2c.org and when you pledge to donate, you click on what show you're a fan of and we hope our BIGGEST LOSER fan base will make the most money." Sweeney will also be manning the phones, so if you call, you just might get to speak to her in person...

Lozano's Play Opens Tonight
OLTL's Florencia Lozano (ex-Téa) has written a play, underneathmybed, that premieres tonight (Sept. 10) at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater on 224 Waverly Place. The production is scheduled to run through October 10. In a recent Q&A; on SoapOperaDigest.com, Lozano gave the following teaser of the political drama: "There's a girl who lives underneath a bed, basically, and she hopefully will be interpreted many different ways by different people. I know different people in the audience will have different reactions to her. But there's a fine line between having her be mysterious, and that being a good thing that sparks the audience's imagination and discussion ... or having her not be mean enough, or be too confusing in terms of what she symbolizes." In yesterday's New York Times, Lozano explained that the play was loosely based on her own upbringing in Newton, MA, by Argentinian immigrants, and anxiety stemming from The Dirty War, a state-sponsored era of violence in Argentina during which activists, intellectuals, students and other dissidents were kidnapped, tortured and/or killed. For more information, please visit www.rattlestick.org.

The Search Is On For OLTL's Joey!
ONE LIFE TO LIVE has put out a casting call for Viki and Clint's adult son Joey. The contract role is described as "mid to late 30s, extremely good-looking, successful, warm, kind, charming, finance guy." The last actor to play the role was CASTLE star Nathan Fillion, who popped in for two episodes in 2007 and had previously filled Joey's shoes from 1994-97. When OLTL was looking to recast the role last year, Daniel Cosgrove (Chris, ATWT et al) was up for the part, but reportedly turned it down. Joey was once paired in a popular romance with Gina Tognoni's Kelly, and in an upcoming issue of Digest, OLTL Head Writer Ron Carlivati teases, "Our thoughts for Kelly are turning to romance." Hmm...

Kaye's Return To AMC Set
Thorsten Kaye's highly anticipated return to AMC as Zach Slater has been scheduled for October 22. "I can't wait to do more scenes with him!" chirps his on-screen wife, Alicia Minshew (Kendall). "I don't know what they have in store for us, but I know it's going to be fun." According to a show rep, the length of his return is to be determined — so don't give up hope, Zendall fans!

Nancy Lee Grahn's (Alexis, GH) curious lack of airtime this summer had fans wondering what was up. The rumor that she was taking time off because she was pregnant lit up the Internet. "I'd like to address the rumor that I've been off for the summer due to pregnancy," posted the actress on Facebook yesterday. "I guess the secret's out!" But there are no oversized purses and strategically placed potted plants in Alexis's future. Today, Grahn posted her "first ultrasound" — with a picture of Maurice Benard's head in "her" stomach! (Click here to take a peek!) "I just wanted to see if you guys were paying attention!" Grahn joked to Digest.

B&B;'s Tylo Sued!
TMZ.com reports that Hunter Tylo (Taylor, B&B;) is being sued in a joint lawsuit by her manager, security firm, and her lawyers, all of whom claim that the actress owes them money. This is not the first time that Tylo has been involved in a lawsuit, but she's accustomed to being on the other side of the table: In 1998, the actress was awarded $4.8 million after being replaced on MELROSE PLACE when producers learned she was pregnant. Then in 2009, she sued a social worker and Horizon Family Therapy & Wellness, charging that they're responsible for the death of her son, Mickey, who drowned after suffering a seizure. "It is our policy not to comment on the personal lives of our actors and actresses," states a B&B; spokesperson.

Kate Linder on JetBlue's Steven Slater
As many readers know, YOUNG AND RESTLESS's Kate Linder (Esther) is also a flight attendant and has been for years. Weekly wondered what she thought about the recent actions of JetBlue's Steven Slater, so we asked her for a comment.

"I can understand that he was dealing with an abusive passenger, but self-control is a requirement for flight attendants. The occupation means you are always up for any challenge, from long days to delays, technical problems, first aid ... and difficult passengers.

"Flight attendants are there for the passengers' safety and comfort. I have learned so much about life and people from this job. It's always interesting to see how I am treated by fans of YOUNG AND RESTLESS versus passengers having a bad day. You can't take it personally and allow yourself to retaliate. Since 9/11, air travel has drastically changed, requiring everyone to have more patience, and most people understand that the changes were instituted to make travel more safe for everyone. We are all in this together!"

More From SOAPnet's new Web series!
Today, July 19, marks the debut of the fourth installment of ABC Daytime and SOAPnet's hilarious Web series, WHAT IF, at http://sn.soapnet.go.com. This time around, AMC's Greenlee (Rebecca Budig) pours her heart out to GH's Jason (Steve Burton). Stay tuned for the rest of this eight-week series!

Larry Keith Passes Away
Actor Larry Keith, who played Nick Davis on ALL MY CHILDREN from 1970-78 and made sporadic returns over the years, most recently in 2005, died at the age of 79 on July 17 after a battle with cancer. Recalled AMC Creator Agnes Nixon to Digest in 2009, "In the original story projection, Nick Davis was to die [early on]. Larry Keith was so terrific, he stayed for eight years. When he left, much to our regret, he gave himself a farewell party. He said, 'I'm leaving because I just found out that Pine Valley doesn't have any synagogues!'"

Keith, also a stage actor, was recently seen on the Glenn Close drama DAMAGES.

Erica Kane Blogs!
She's done just about everything else, and now daytime's greatest diva has become a blogger. ALL MY CHILDREN's Erica is embarking on marriage number 11 with longtime love Jack — and in typical Kane style goes for an extended honeymoon around the world before the ceremony. Jack and Erica will return to Pine Valley in September (after portrayers Susan Lucci and Walt Willey finish their breaks), but those who need an occasional dose of dish from La Kane can visit her new blog, at blogs.soapnet.com/i-am-erica-kane. Erica promises to update as she travels the globe — but wait! There's more: she's even got her own Twitter account: twitter.com/iamericakane.

Soap Fave Returns
Mary Beth Evans, who recently reprised the role of DAYS's Kayla for the scenes surrounding Alice Horton's death, will be making another return trip to Salem in September. The length of her stay has yet to be determined. Evans also makes a return appearance (along with a few other notable comebacks) in Oakdale as Lucinda's daughter, Sierra. Her first airdate is July 21. "I'm still in shock [over the cancellation]; I can't really believe it," the actress told Digest last month.
