Ice unleashed in GENERATION LOST #11

Tuesday, September 14th, 2010

By Alex Segura

Ice is not to be messed with. For real.

If you’ve been reading JUSTICE LEAGUE: GENERATION LOST, you know the character’s been going through her share of soul-searching. But how does one character go from pensive, shy flower to elemental badass? Let’s ask JL: GL editor Brian Cunningham.

“For those of us that read the Super Friends series in the 1970s where Ice was originally introduced as Ice Maiden, we all know how absurd her origin was. With Gen Lost #12, writer Judd Winick provides Ice with a credible and tragic origin that does not negate what we already know. And the consequences of this new origin are pretty explosive, as Aaron Lopresti’s amazing art shows.”

Does it ever. Thanks, Brian!

Monday, September 13th, 2010

By Alex Segura

The headline very capably sums up what we’ve got here, so I won’t slow your scrolling time too much – suffice to say, this is a lovely piece of art by one of the most exciting artists out there now. Can Finch draw Batman or what?

Have you seen the trailer for BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD - THE VIDEO GAME?

Friday, September 10th, 2010

By Alex Segura

No? Well, you’re in the right place. Our friends at Warner Bros. Interactive and DC Entertainment have you covered.

BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD THE VIDEO GAME launched just a few days ago, bringing an episodic, family friendly adventure based on the hit animated series to Wii and Nintendo DS.

Featuring the voice talents, action and dialogue from the cartoon, the game drops players into an all-out brawl, as Batman partners with Guy Gardner, Robin, Hawkman and Blue Beetle to take on some of the deadliest villains in the DCU. You can play solo as Batman or with a pal in two-player co-op mode.

Don’t believe me? Click below and experience the game trailer, which is a treat in and of itself.

A first look at Patrick Gleason’s BATMAN AND ROBIN

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

By Alex Segura

We’ve had a lot of Batman news of late, but one thing we haven’t shared is what the new creative team on BATMAN AND ROBIN will be doing visually. As we unveiled not long ago, Peter Tomasi will be taking over as writer with his former GREEN LANTERN CORPS collaborator Patrick Gleason stepping in as artist.

And now, to end a short week with some cool news, we present you with Gleason’s first cover, for November’s BATMAN AND ROBIN #17.
