Young diplomat

SRINIDHI RAGHAVAN, who has recently completed her schooling from the American School in London, has been given the ECIS award for international understanding. This award is given to a senior who is a good representative of his/her own country, who is able to converse in at least two languages and who demonstrates the ability to bring differing people together with a sense of community and is chosen by High School faculty ballot.

With five languages at her disposal, Srinidhi, daughter of Usha Raghavan, a performing Bharatanatyam artiste based in London, has travelled all over the world making friends and removing prejudices every step of the way. A dancer herself, Srinidhi has won laurels in several fields such as debate, diplomacy, the arts and charity work.

The American School honours her for her work with Model United Nations, Model United States Senate, Student Council, Chroma, Traditional Indian dance, The South Asia Club, Amnesty International and Habitat for Humanity.
