When Ramatu and her fiancee left Freetown over the weekend to travel to Gbonkolenken Cheifdom for a ceremonial wedding, they were all happy and full of life. They chartered a van from Freetown and travlled the 160 miles to Yele for the ceremony. But tragedy struck before they got to their destination when their car summesaulted. The accident left Ramatu with a compoud fracture on her arm while her fiancee suffered injury on his eye and face. Though battered and in pain, the couple decided to go ahead with the ceremony.

Beautiful and inspirational story.
It could very well have been worse.
The good lord spared both and they had the courage to forge ahead towards their destiny together.
What an example.
Here is hoping that this strengthens the bond between them as they go through this thing called life with its many twists a turns.
Beautiful picture and here is wishing both a speedy and healthy recovery.
Kudos to Jacob Conteh for sharing this story.
Amor Vincit Omnia……said the Romans. And which is still true today as it was then: that loves conquers all.
And the message this accident is sending to Ramatu’s partner (sorry his name isn’t mentioned) is that his eyes, like his love, must remain blind throughout their relationship for peace and happiness.
I wish the couple a speedy recovery.
It wasn’t their time to die, but to fulfill a heavenly Father’s purposed plan for each of their own lives, whether together or a part. Their love surely is made stronger through such diversity, which tried to claim otherwise for the wedding couple. We often don’t understand why such things happen in life, but we’re given insight through the Bible, which is the Word of God in ‘The Acts 1: 7 {AV}: And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.’ In my journey, it wasn’t my time too. I asked the question: “Dear God…. Why?” For me, the question is answered and then written in “Mommy’s Writings: Mommy, would you like a sandwich?” My soul has rest in having done so, which prayerfully has the Word of God being more clearer to me in each passing day that will someday return me home to his kingdom. Until then, we’re to enjoy our life, as we’re given God’s breath to live it. I’m joyful in knowing Ramatu and her fiancée married in Yele whose ceremony is one, which is indeed blessed in many ways by God.
